Skinny water tailers!!

The water levels in Mosquito Lagoon continue to drop and my fly anglers are loving it. Today my good friend and client from Michigan, Gary joined me tfor his first trip to the Lagoon. Gary and his wife Megan spend the winter in the Keys and I finally got him to stop on the trip down to chase some Redfish.

He will definitely be making the stop again next year. We had an awesome day hunting tails and when it was all said and done, Gary landed his third Redfish on fly as the sun was starting to set.

The fish are on the feed coming off the last cold front and they are just hammering small crab and shrimp patterns. My good friend and fly tyer Bear Andrews came up with a new shrimp pattern for me and it is deadly. I look forward to putting it to the test again tomorrow.

If you are headed to the Orlando area give me a call or email. Book your
trip today, the fishing just keeps getting better!!!
