When most people think of Orlando, they think of our theme parks. In addition to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World, you must add flats fishing to our list of attractions. These places often bring you to the area, so why not take a day away from the crowds and enjoy an exciting day of fly fishing with Capt. Todd Fuller! Central Florida is home to some of the best fly angling opportunities in the United States.

Saltwater Fly Fishing

Less than an hour east of Orlando, Florida lies some of the best Saltwater Flats fishing inthe world. Titusville is home to Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon, both of which give us miles of expansive grass flats to fish. Mosquito Lagoon, where I spend most of my time, has one of the largest populations of Redfish in the South, and it is truly the best year-round fly-fishing destination for Redfish and Sea Trout.

Sight fishing is the name of the game we play here on the flats. I will pole you along the pristine grass flats hunting for that next Redfish to present the fly. Fishing in a foot or less of water provides even the experienced angler a challenge to catch Redfish, Sea Trout, Seasonal Tarpon and Snook. I welcome all fly anglers, from expert to first timers, on my flats skiff and look forward to showing you the proven techniques that catch fish on the fly.

Freshwater Fly Fishing

The Orlando area also has wonderful fresh water fly-fishing opportunities. The St. Johns River, the Wekiva River, the Econ, and the many lakes in Central Florida offer great bass and panfish angling. This is always an option for those days when the winds are howling on the saltwater lagoons. I also offer combination freshwater and saltwater trips for those fly anglers that would like to experience both watersheds.
